Nguyen, a combat sports veteran since 2010, turns to bare knuckle fighting after trying her hand at Jorge Masvidal’s Gamebred FC in October 2021, where she would compete in the new concept of ‘Bare Knuckle MMA’.

“Bareknuckle MMA was so much fun,” Nguyen tells MyMMANews. “Too much fun actually. I hate having my hands wrapped and I love fighting girls who talk mad shit.”

Nguyen said she will compete in between 110-115 pounds with BKFC, a weight class that only recently kicked off for the promotion when Jenny Savage defeated Delaney Bailey in December 2021 at BKFC Fight Night: Tampa.

“Yes, they’re expanding their weight classes,” she said. “I’ll fight any girls at that weight class. Whoever they offer.”

With more than a decade of competition under her belt and fights in Muay Thai, MMA, Bare Knuckle MMA, and Bare Knuckle fighting getting added to the list in just a few short weeks, Nguyen is extremely well-rounded.

“I’m a true mixed martial artist and I love all combat sports. Doesn’t matter which art form.

“Gosh, I can’t believe it’s been over a decade since I competed,” she continued. “I wish I started younger. I wish I had pro females to train with back then. My friends who are still amateurs now are so advanced compared to us back then!

“I’m honored to have been able to compete all over the world whether it was a small promotion or big. I’m just glad BKFC is giving me a chance to showcase my boxing skills. Most fighters go to Bareknuckle to die. But that’s when I feel most alive. In the ring.”
