Asa Ten Pow talks Titan FC 76 matchup vs. Sean Mora, more

Lenny from MyMMANews and Titan FC bantamweight Asa Ten Pow sat down to talk about his matchup this weekend against Sean Mora.

Titan FC 76 takes place Friday, May 6, 2022 with live fights at National Guard Armory in Florida. In the main event on UFC Fight Pass, former UFC fighter Luis Pena will compete in the main event against Zach Zane. Pena will make his first appearance after his UFC release and after facing legal charges stemming from three different incidents.

Asa Ten Pow takes on Sean Mora in a bantamweight clash. Ten Pow talks about the wrestling of his opponent.

“Are these the type of fights I like? No, these are the type of fights I need. I need to get better; my ideal fight is a world championship. I expect it all. I expect to play my game and put it where I want to put it, I fully expect to dedicate the tempo if he’s shooting or standing.”

As previously mentioned Sean Mora is a Greco-Roman wrestler, and Ten Pow expressed his thoughts on his opponent, and what he expects from his adversary.

“Sean is a very good Olympian and Judoka. I’ve watched a couple of his fights, he’s very good at his take downs, he is also game against the fence. You’re going to get something exciting of course.”

Ten Pow, while talking about the matchup, expressed that he sees the fight ending in a finish.

“I don’t think this will go to the scorecards. There definitely will be a finish.” His opponent, Sean Mora is undefeated at 2-0, so it would be the first loss of his career.”

Ten Pow last made an MMA appearance on December 17th at Titan FC 73, and it was a longer hiatus than he wanted.

“Due to the circumstances, of course. Everything is for a reason and I’m still on track to do what I want to do. A little setback but I got to continue with it.”

At Titan FC 73, Ten Pow squared off against Chris Roman in which the fight ended in a no-contest after an illegal knee; he talked about what he learned from that experience.

“I have to watch myself and get too carried away at the moment. It was nice to get a little bit of time in there…I wanted to get out quick but learning from that mistake I have to do better, I have to make sure I don’t do that in the future It’s very detrimental to both sides and plus financial repercussions as well.”

Ten Pow made a dent in the kickboxing scene before transitioning to MMA. He was a kickboxing and Muay Thai world champion, and had a fantastic run in the legendary kickboxing promotion GLORY.

“I’ve been competing and doing martial arts since I was a kid, so throwing punches and kicks has always been my thing…developing it for MMA has always been on the back end but its always something I have been developing whilst i was fighting in Kickboxing and Muay Thai. I look forward to my style being presented to everybody to see a more technical striking and more geared towards MMA.”
