UFC Rankings Update: Uriah Hall breaks into top 10 middleweights

Bisping out with injury, Uriah Hall steps in for UFC 193

Michael Bisping was scheduled to fight Robert Whittaker at UFC 193 in Australia next month however, the Englishman has suffered an injury to his elbow and was forced to withdraw.

Not one to sit back on his laurels, the now top ten ranked middleweight Uriah Hall has stepped up.

Less than a week after knocking out Gegard Mousasi in Japan, UFC officials have announced that Hall will replace Bisping to fight Whittaker who will be the hometown favorite.

Whittaker (14-4) is an Australia native and will have the support of his countrymen behind him November 15 at Etihad Stadium.

Hall (12-5) was not ranked prior to the fight against Mousasi, but with his second-round knockout victory, the former Ultimate Fighter finalist catapulted to the number 10 seed.

UFC 193 is headlined by Ronda Rousey vs. Holly Holm for the UFC women’s bantamweight title with a co-headlining strawweight title bout of Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs Valerie Letourneau.
