CES 69’s Mike Rodriguez Nearly Retired After UFC Release, Talks Training At Jackson/Wink This Camp

Interview with Mike Rodriguez below

Mike Rodriguez (11-7, NC) discusses his light heavyweight fight against Jeremy May (13-11) at CES 69 on June 17. Mike also talks about being released from the UFC, nearly retiring from the sport and how he ended training with Jackson/Wink MMA.

“After (I was released) I was done fighting, I was like ‘I’m just going to teach’. Then a bunch of guys from Albuquerque, came to Boston in February. My buddy Tom Egan pretty much pushed me back into training. So I started training with them guys and then we all loved it. We all loved our connection, we all loved how we worked. So they those guys were like ‘hey you gotta come down.’ So I came down to Albuquerque and I’ve (been down) here a month.”
