Former WEC Bantamweight Champion and UFC Fighter Arrested For Meth
Former WEC bantamweight champion and UFC competitor Brian Bowles has been arrested along with another woman (Rhomney Marie Moon) on drug charges according to Jackson County Sheriff’s Office’s facebook page (link: https://www.facebook.com/jcso2013/posts/931116050254234).
According to the Sheriff’s report, Bowles was arrested and charged for possession of a firearm, possession of of tools for the commission of a crime, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a schedule IV drug, possession of a schedule IV drug with intent to sell, possession of marijuana, and possession of marijuana with intent to sell.
The Sheriff’s office were to serve an arrest warrant on Moon who was believed to be at Bowles’ residence in Arcade, Georgia. Moon was not present, yet it was determined that she did have an outstanding warrant for her arrest. During the visit, methamphetamine was found in Bowles’ area, and a search warrant was executed. According to the report “a quantity of marijuana, other narcotics, a gun and numerous packaging materials were also located within the home.”
Bowles and Moon were transported to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and according to inmate records, Bowles is still incarcerated since his arrest (http://jacksoncoga.offenderindex.com/).
Bowles (10-3) last fought May of 2013 when he lost to George Roop at UFC 160. Bowles would fail his post-fight drug test for elevated testosterone levels and would be suspended for nine months.
