Nate Diaz not buying Josh Thomson ‘Phone Stolen’ excuse. Says ‘Punk’ is backpedaling
What started out with an usual and uncharacteristic tweet sent by former Strikeforce lightweight champion Josh ‘Punk’ Thomson to brothers Nate and Nick Diaz, quickly changed to an excuse or an apologetic retraction, however, one-time opponent and recipient of the initial intended message, Nate Diaz is not buying it.
Late last night Thomson tweeted
Josh Thomson @THEREALPUNK
I knocked out your brother, I’ll knock ur b—- ass out in San Jose July 26th. Let’s do it B—-, San Jose vs Stockon. Yup, F— U Nick Diaz!
The tweet gained a lot of attention and seemed as if fans were going to be treated to a fight that would pull elder brother Nick out of retirement, however, Thomson made claim that his phone was stolen, and someone used his Twitter account to make the tweet on his behalf without his knowledge.
Before Thomson retracted the tweet and made offerings of peace, MyMMANews.com tweeted back to Nick “@THEREALPUNK sounds like we have ourselves a challenge. What do you say @nickdiaz209 ? #Don’tBeScaredHomie”
Thomson is sticking to the statement he made that someone stole his phone, but younger brother Nate is not buying it.
See his response below.
You got drunk talked a bunch of stupid shit when you woke up you panicked an #backpeddled #sorryasslittlebitch #whatreallyhappened #bereal
So, did Josh Thomson’s phone really get stolen or is Nate right? Sounds like we have a fight brewing.
