Medusa FOJJ 4

Medusa FOJJ 4: Flyweight CJJ Tournament – LIVE RESULTS

Today, Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 10 PM EST on UFC Fight Pass, Medusa Female Only Jiu Jitsu 4 (Medusa FOJJ 4) will be held at the Poliforum Playa Del Carmen in Mexico.

For the first time, this Medusa Female Only Jiu Jitsu event will feature only one 16-woman tournament bracket as opposed to the usual two 8-woman brackets.  This will be a flyweight tournament at 125 pounds and will be contested under the combat jiu jitsu ruleset. There are also a few special matches on the card to break things up.

EBI rules consist of 10-minutes of regulation, as well as three rounds of overtime from the back or spiderweb position if there is no submission within regulation. The combat jiu jitsu ruleset utilizes the EBI ruleset but also allows for open hand palm strikes once the action hits the ground. For CJJ matches there is also a “get down” rule if the match does not hit the ground for a full minute, which requires the competitors to get down on the mat and start from there to allow for the palm strikes. Match results will be updated below as the event progresses.
