Yet another installment of the ONE on TNT series has just transpired and the pugilistic proceedings continue with ONE on TNT IV this coming Wednesday, April 28th.
John Lineker, the current #1-ranked bantamweight contender, dominated Troy Worthen in quintessential Lineker fashion. Hands of Stone notched an emphatic first-round knockout victory in the evening’s top of the marquee bout.
Lineker talked about a myriad of subjects including his memorable performance against Worthen, his thoughts on potentially challenging Bibiano Fernandes next for the ONE Bantamweight world title, and what the remainder of the calendar year looks like for him competitively.
In the co-feature attraction, #4-ranked flyweight contender Yuya Wakamatsu overcame a true battle of wills. He bested the #5-ranked contender Reece McLaren to win by unanimous decision.
Wakamatsu talked about testing skills with McLaren’s well-regarded grappling. Plus, the multi-sensory experience of breaking his opponent’s spirit in this prizefight and eyeing down the next challenger.
ONE on TNT III Post-Event
In a ONE Super Series Muay Thai dream matchup, kickboxing legend Nieky Holzken defeated veteran Muay Thai warrior John Wayne Parr. He won by highlight-reel knockout in the second round. This fight featured multiple knockdowns and high octane action throughout.
Holzken talked about his performance against a legend in Parr and the lengthy competitive history between his trainer and Parr’s trainer. Plus, he discussed the sequence leading up to the fight-ending KO and what the competitive future holds for Holzken.
Parr talked about the measurable pride that he has competing under the ONE Championship banner. Plus, he got into specifics on his bout with Holzken and what the future holds for the Australian striking icon.
