Phil Davis open to cross promotion, competing with RIZIN in Japan
Penn State University alum Phil Davis spoke with media following his Bellator 186 win over Leo Leite. The fight took place at his alma mater’s Bryce Jordan Center.
The former Bellator MMA light heavyweight champion addressed the fight, return to Penn State, preparation for the bout in the week leading up, future opposition, and the possibility of competing in Japan for RIZIN Fighting Federation.

“It was exciting. At first I didn’t want to get my hopes up because I was like ‘If what I am hearing is true, this is going to be the best day ever.’ And it was.”

“I’m a big…. I absolutely hate when people say they have an injury after the fight cause win, lose, or draw, you either pull out of the fight because you are injured or you don’t talk about it and get people giving you sympathy points afterwards.”

“I’m down for anything. Whoever shows up to fight me, will get fought.”
“I will fight anyone. Let that be know. If someone wants to fight, I will fight them.”

“It’s interesting. They have different rules. It would be all around fun. I’ve considered it. Maybe it will happen, maybe it won’t. But I’m open to it.”
