Full interview with Stellar Fights 52 winner, Tyler Hiob above.

Stellar Fights presented their second all-professional bout card on Saturday, October 22 at the beautiful Wicomico Youth and Civic center in Salisbury, MD.

Taking place in front of an ecstatically energetic crowd that were on their feet for the evenings fantastic the matchup’s, Tyler Hiob remained undefeated that evening, improving his professional record to 2-0 when he defeated the tough BJJ black belt, Ryan “Maverick” Courtney.

Hiob and Courtney were no strangers to each other as they’ve spent time together in the training room, previous to their bout.

“I thought it was a phenomenal matchup for me,” Hiob said. “I really liked the fight. I just didn’t think there was going to be anywhere that he could beat me,” Hiob explains. “We’ve sparred a good bit. I would say it was all me,” he details. “I was surprised that he took the fight in the first place,” Hiob says about the matchup initially being made.

“I knew he was going to try to wrestle me,” Hiob expresses his thoughts on how he thought the bout would play out. “His technique was not bad,” Hiob gives praise. “Obviously he’s a black belt. He was a good grappler.  But I knew it was just a matter of time.”

Currently standing undefeated with one win via TKO and one win via submission, Hiob expects an early 2023 return to the cage to keep the momentum swinging in his favor. Be sure to keep a watchful eye on this lightweight prospect, as the sky is the limit!

Stellar Fights 53 will take place live at the Delaware State Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall in Harrington, DE. this Saturday, November 5th.

Tune in above to watch Tyler Hiob chat with MyMMANews via Zoom. Hiob talks about his impressive performance, the life changes he’s made to grow into a better man, training with Courtney before this bout was ever scheduled and when you can expect to see him next in the cage!
