After kick in the head, MMA student develops French accent – WTF????

Jack Allan, a student at Loughborough University in Loughborough, England, was rushed to hospital with a bleed on the brain after being kicked in the head during a mixed martial arts session in October 2o23.

After months of being temporarily paralyzed and unable to speak following the diagnosis of a stroke, Allan, an MMA student, has now developed a French accent, a not so common symptom.

Doctors have diagnosed Allan with foreign accent syndrome – a rare condition usually triggered by a stroke or head trauma.

“I’ve spent a lot of time to get my British accent back,” Allan told the Daily Mail. “My goal is to have the French one not leak out at all.”
