Andy Nguyen retires from competition
“The CrAsian” Andy Nguyen has announced her retirement from combat sports competition. The 42-year-old fighter from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina has competed in nearly every form of martial arts to include boxing, MMA, bare knuckle, Muay Thai and Kickboxing.
Her social media post below:
“𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 4:13 ‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.’
I knew the day I retire will be a 𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦 𝐬𝐚𝐝 day. This is 𝐓𝐎𝐃𝐀𝐘. I’ve given my heart to this sport for over 13 years. Sometimes it didn’t love me back as much as I wanted it to. I started fighting at the age of 28. I’m now 42 years old and I do not regret anything I have done. I’ve met 𝑠𝑜𝑜𝑜𝑜𝑜 many amazing people throughout the journey. I have bigger plans & that’s to take care of my family. I’ve been selfish and it’s time to sacrifice the one thing I loved the most. Fighting. Fighting in MMA, boxing, BAREKNUCKLE MMA & BAREKNUCKLE boxing, Muay Thai & kickboxing. Too bad I didn’t get to Pillow Fight. Lol. Please remember me as The CrAsian that made u laugh. Or cry. ♥️”
Andy Nguyen will retire from professional MMA with a record of 7-13. She made a career out of fighting all the way back in May 2010 in her amateur debut.
She has held titles with several promotions to include King of the Cage where she also has matchmaking duties. Nguyen is also a winner of ‘Walkout of the Year’ while fighting under the RIZIN FF banner.
