Cage Wars 49 Weigh-ins | Live Video Results

Friday evening, Cage Wars 49 weigh-ins take place in the lobby of The Landing Hotel at the Rivers Casino Resort in Schenectady, New York. The Albany-based promotion will begin their ceremonial weigh-ins at 5 PM. The United States Muay Thai Association (USMTA) will be the third-party sanctioning the event.

The main card Saturday night is filled with six title fights. Cage Wars 49 is sold out. The pay-per-view will stream across Fite TV’s platform. In the main event, two proven amateur champions collide in the featherweight division where both fighters fight for the title and protect their unbeaten records. Brendan Kennedy (6-0) and Harley Locklear (4-0) are expected to leave fans wanting more.

The co-main event is a heavyweight title featuring a rematch between two fighters who have become friends. Al Marro (4-4) looks to redeem his loss to Corey Norman (5-0). Fans can expect two great fighters that have continued to hone their craft to deliver three strong championship rounds of action.

In the flyweight title fight, Nate Russell (7-1) squares off against Alex Delacruz (4-1). In a flyweight matchup between these two athletes, a high-paced and skilled striking battle is expected.

The remainder of the main fight card includes Andrew Geisler (5-1) and Kyle Kahler (5-4) battling in a rematch, but this time high-stakes are on the line, as the lightweight champion will be crowned. Ryan Hickey (5-3-1) and Olivier Poisson (6-0) fight for the bantamweight title and rounding off the fight cards, James Chaplin (4-3) and Malik Smith (4-2) test the cage limits in a super heavyweight title.
