Calvin Katter picks apart Dan Ige to a unanimous decision

The action continues on “Fight Island” as UFC on ESPN 13 kicks off tonight, Wednesday, July 13.

Just four days removed from UFC 251, the promotion returns to the Flash Forum on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.

The event is headlined by ranked featherweights Calvin Kattar and Dan Ige. A flyweight matchup between Ryan Benoit and Tim Elliott will serve as the co-main event.

In the main event of the evening, Calvin “The Boston Finisher” Katter will take on “Dynamite” Dan Ige in a featherweight clash.

Fresh off of a TKO win over Jeremy Stephens via relentless elbows, Calvin Katter comes into this contest with more experience, on paper. Holding wins with such notables as Ricardo Lamas and Shane Burgos, Katter is the favorite coming into his bout with Dan Ige.

Dan Ige’s momentum is rapidly climbing as he enters this bout. Riding a 6 fight win streak, Ige edged out the striking specialist Edson Barboza in his last performance. His bout with Katter will Ige’s 3rd fight of 2020.
