Dana White confirms he still plans on booking Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler

UFC president Dana White confirmed that he still plans on booking Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler.

McGregor and Chandler are the current coaches on TUF 31, and the original plan was that the two of them would fight by the end of 2023. However, the problem is that McGregor is not yet in the USADA testing pool, and we have no idea when he will jump back into the Octagon. After all, it has been over two years since we last saw McGregor fight when he lost in a trilogy fight to his rival Dustin Poirier. While McGregor has remained in the limelight over the years with his Twitter fingers, fans like to watch him fight, and at this point, we have no idea when that will be.

While McGregor vs. Chandler is still the plan, the Irishman recently took to Twitter to cast doubt on that fight and suggest that he could fight Justin Gaethje instead. But according to White, that is false, and the promotion still plans on booking McGregor against Chandler like the plan is.

“Definitely Chandler,” White said of McGregor’s next opponent (via MMAFighting.com). “He likes to f*** with everybody. You know what I mean? Especially his opponent, or possible opponents.”

According to White, he spoke to McGregor this week and the legend says that he is ready to step back into the cage. Still, he will have to be cleared by USADA before that is possible to occur. If USADA does clear him, then hopefully the fans will get to see McGregor vs. Chandler very soon.

“I talked to Conor, either yesterday or the day before, and yeah, he’s ready to fight. I said, ‘Listen, get in shape, and let’s figure this out,’” White said

Do you believe Dana White when he says that Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler is next, and who do you think will win this fight?
