Daniel Straus signs to Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship
Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship announces the signing of two-time Bellator Featherweight Champion Daniel Straus to a multi-fight deal.
“We’re thrilled to announce the signing of Daniel Straus to BKFC,” stated BKFC President David Feldman. “Daniel’s had a wealth of success in Bellator and we believe his skill set will translate very well in bare knuckle. Our featherweight division is very deep and rapidly growing and we have a number of great matchups for Daniel.”

In regards to signing up for a new combat sport, Straus said, “I’m all about excitement in my fights and that’s what BKFC has brought to the combat sports world in the last four years. Dave and his team have built the fastest-growing combat sports promotion in the world and I’m grateful for this opportunity. I can’t wait for my first bare-knuckle fight.”
Straus holds a cumulative mixed martial arts record of twenty-six victories opposite ten defeats. This includes wins over Patricio Pitbull, Henry Corrales, Marlon Sandro, and Pat Curran. His first-time capturing Bellator’s 145-pound world title took place against the aforementioned Pat Curran. Straus avenged a prior loss to Curran at Bellator 106 by way of a unanimous decision.
Straus’ sophomore Bellator MMA title victory over Patricio Pitbull on November 6, 2015 saw him tie up his series with Bellator’s GOAT at one win apiece.
Daniel Straus’ history with Bellator MMA dates back to their regular tournament days to decide title challengers. He has the distinction of being a season four featherweight tournament finalist. Also, Straus became the season six featherweight tournament champion to punch his ticket for a title shot. In fact, Straus’ last Bellator MMA bout, as of this juncture, took place within the recent featherweight grand prix that was eventually won by AJ McKee.
