EXCLUSIVE: Dave Leduc challenges Mike Perry to Lethwei match
After Mike Perry said he would like to fight the King of Lethwei, Dave Leduc, on The Joe Rogan Experience, Leduc has responded in kind exclusively to My MMA News about the potential fight.
“I’ve been watching what’s happening at BKFC, I love the show and the owner David Feldman is a solid business and gentlemen, I have a lot of respect for him. Perry has been performing very well with his hands and I applaud him for it. But he says he want to fight me under Lethwei rules with all 9 limbs allowed, headbutts ect. I welcome the challenge, but I would completely dominate. Dominate on the outside and destroy him when we get in the inside. My elbows and skull game is too much to handle for him. I don’t think he would even touch me.”
Leduc floated the idea of fighting at BKFC or his promotion, Marshall Fighting Championship. Either way, Leduc is confident that he and Perry can easily put on the biggest worldwide fight in Lethwei history.
Dave Leduc vs. Mike Perry: A Violence Fetish
Should the fight go down, it would be a massive display of violence. Leduc competes and dominate the most brutal sport on the planet and Mike Perry isn’t far behind where he’s been fighting and banging out fights in BKFC’s ring. Combine the two and you will have the biggest platform Lethwei has ever seen!
BKFC and Dave Feldman have expressed interest in Lethwei for some time. Before the coup in Myanmar, BKFC was in talks to purchase World Lethwei Championship, the banner Leduc won a title under. Unfortunately, the coup put a stop to that acquisition.
Dave Feldman, Lethwei at the top of your BKFC card would be a huge success and would make for the biggest fight in promotional history. Let them brawl and you’re guaranteed a bloodletting. Let’s have some fun with a mega fight.
