Former UFC fighter, Anthony Rocco Martin, arrested for urinating on casino floor, punching security guard

According to a report from the Las Vegas Sun, former UFC fighter Anthony Rocco Martin (17-6) was arrested in Las Vegas, Nevada over the weekend after allegedly urinating on a casino floor and then punching a security guard who responded to the incident.

The incident took place at Caesar’s Palace at around 12:45 a.m. on Saturday, before police were called around 1:30 a.m local time. Martin, who use to go by the name “Tony Martin,” was arrested and charged with one count each of battery and lewd/dissolute conduct in a public place.

Martin had been seen urinating in the casino hallway and then when security officers confronted him and asked him to leave, the professional mixed martial artist allegedly became hostile and punched one of the guards in the throat.

MMAFighting.com states that “the arresting officer said in his report that Martin ‘denied any wrongdoing and stated he was racially profiled and wrongfully arrested,’ while also appearing to be under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance.

Martin was released later in the day and is expected to appear in Las Vegas Justice Court on Jan. 19 for a wellness check. Both charges against Martin are considered misdemeanors.

Anthony Rocco Martin competed 15 times under the UFC banner between February 2014 and June 2020.  In his most recent outing inside the octagon, Martin dropped a unanimous decision loss to Neil Magny at UFC 250.
