Johnny Walker reacts following brutal KO loss to Jamahal Hill at UFC Vegas 48

UFC light heavyweight contender Johnny Walker reacted following the brutal KO loss he suffered against Jamahal Hill at UFC Vegas 48.

Walker and Hill met in the headliner of Saturday’s UFC Vegas 48 card, in a fight that few expected to go the distance. Indeed, the fight ended in devastating fashion early in the first round when Hill landed a brutal punch right to the temple of Walker, sending his opponent crashing down to the mat. After landing a follow-up shot on the ground, the referee moved in to stop the fight, and Hill was declared the winner.

For Hill, this was an absolutely huge win for him as he will likely now take Walker’s place in the top-10 at 205lbs after improving to 4-1, 1 NC overall in the UFC. For Walker, however, it was his fourth loss in his last five fights overall, and it’s the kind of loss that is going to leave him with more questions than answers about his MMA career. However, Walker is not giving up on fighting just because he’s lost a few fights.

Taking to his social media following the KO loss to Hill, Walker issued a statement, thanking all of those who support him on his journey, and promising that he will not give up on his dreams despite the loss.

“I’m fine, let’s move on to the next one, thank you all for the support I love you, this and the sport, one wins the other loses, but I never give up,” Walker wrote on his Instagram.

Despite going 1-4 in his last five fights, Walker’s losses have come against top-15 fighters, so it seems likely he will get at least one more fight in the Octagon. However, his next fight may very well be a must-win.

What do you think is next for Johnny Walker following his brutal KO loss to Jamahal Hill at UFC Vegas 48?
