Tim Tszyu and Terrell Gausha

Super Welterweights Tim Tszyu and Terrell Gausha Throw Down this Weekend

Tim Tszyu and Terrell Gausha will meet in a highly anticipated super welterweight bout this weekend at The Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

There has been quite a bit of talk between the two contenders. Gausha has been quoted stating that Tszyu is “a one-trick pony” and “what you see is what you get. He doesn’t do too many things spectacularly.”

Tszyu on the other hand, told Morning Kombat “I intend to take it away from him, that’s it.” and further stated that “I want to be the bad man, you know, that takes everyone out.”

Tszyu’s trainer Igor Goloubev also sent a warning to Gaush at an open workout. He stated that “He’s [Tszyu] going to be right on top of Gausha from the start. There’s going to be no rest and nowhere for him to go.”

Tszyu will enter the ring with an undefeated record of 20-0 with 15 KOs. BoxRec has the Australian ranked at 3rd in the world. In his last two outings, he defeated Steve Spark and Takeshi Inoue rather handily.

Tszyu will be making his U.S. debut against Gausha (22-2-1, 11 KOs), who is no easy out.

U.S.-based Olympian Gausha is coming off his fight with Jamontay Clark, in which he made quick work of the “Quiet Assassin.” It took Gausha only 2 rounds to finish off Clark with a beautiful counter right.

The fight will take place this Saturday, March 26th in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The main card will begin at 9 P.M. EST / 6 P.M. PST. You can watch the card on Showtime
