Tatiana Suarez returns to the Octagon against Montana De La Rosa at UFC Vegas 70

UFC women’s standout Tatiana Suarez returns to the Octagon against Montana De La Rosa at an upcoming UFC Fight Night card set to take place next month.

De La Rosa herself announced the bout via her OnlyFans. The fight will take place in the UFC women’s 125lbs division and is set for UFC Vegas 70 on February 25 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, according to Marcel Dorff. This will be Suarez’s return to the Octagon after having not fought since a decision win over Nina Nunes back at UFC 238 in June 2019.

Suarez (8-0) won The Ultimate Fighter 23 back in 2016. Since then, she has won all five of her fights inside the Octagon, with notable wins over Carla Esparza and Alexa Grasso. All of her previous bouts have come in the UFC women’s strawweight division, but after taking over three years off due to injuries, the 32-year-old American will be returning as a flyweight fighter.

De La Rosa (12-7-1) joined the UFC in 2017 and since then she has a record of 5-3-1 inside the Octagon. The 27-year-old American’s best win in the UFC is likely her victory over Ariane Lipski. She has struggled to string wins together and will be the clear underdog here against Suarez.

Overall, it’s a good fight for Suarez in her comeback as De La Rosa has been proven to be very tough and durable inside the Octagon. That being said, before her injuries, Suarez was on the path to title contention at 115lbs. If she can continue her dominance at 125lbs, it won’t be long until fans and media start talking about Suarez as a potential title challenger to UFC women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. But first, she has to take care of business against De La Rosa.

Who do you think wins this women’s flyweight bout between Tatiana Suarez and Montana De La Rosa?
