Tom “K9” Green talks Fusion Fighting Championship 30
Tom “K9” Green (12-3) makes his return to Fusion Fighting Championship on June 15th after 18 months away from the organization.
Green made his name within Fusion Fighting competing a total of 12 times with only one defeat eventually winning the Fusion featherweight title. Green definitely draws the crowds when he is competing as he displays incredible skills and is always looking to finish the fight which reflects in his record of 11 finishes from 12 wins.
The Fusion Fighting featherweight champion last competed at Bellator 200 back in May 2018 versus Charlie Leary and since then he’s pursued additional matchups within the organization. Due to multiple reasons, Green may have to wait until later in the year for this opportunity.
Green is not a fighter who can be inactive for too long. When offered the opportunity to return to Fusion he did not hesitate with his answer,
“Its local, I always get a lot of support there, its basically what I have grown from so I just feel comfortable here, it’s home. Its a good place to get that fight in to build myself and to see how this new training regime is going. It just seems the place to start again from.”
I have interviewed Green in the past and when asked who he would love to fight in Bellator, his answer remained the same when I saw him recently.
Green is determined to fight training partner of Conor McGregor, Dillon Danis. Green has never been impressed Danis and has called him out many times in the past to no avail. In our interview, Green continued to explain how this would be an ideal fight for Danis, against someone with a record of 12-3 and a loss on his Bellator record. “Why would he turn it down?”, asked Green.
