UFC partners with VersusGame ahead of McGregor-Poirier trilogy

Fans eager to see the outcome of the biggest trilogy fight of the year on July 10 between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier are now able to gamify and monetize the UFC match through a new partnership with VersusGame.

UFC fans can profit off the matches by hosting or playing games on the popular app. With any aspect of the fights being fodder for head-to-head competition, the possibilities are virtually endless. Who will win? How many rounds will the fight go? Will a match end by submission, TKO, or judges ruling? It’s up to users to decide how to play.

As part of VersusGame’s latest partnership, both the UFC and former champs, including Daniel Cormier and Luke Rockhold, will also host games on the app to energize and amplify the UFC fan base ahead of fights.

John Vitti the CEO of VersusGame spoke with us ahead of the fight and explained how the partnership came to be. Vitti, an avid fight fan himself, spoke at great lengths about the upcoming fight, as well as his experience at the Floyd Mayweather-Logan Paul fight last month.

Mainly, Vitti spoke about the format of this new app where fans can interact with each other and have that friendly wager. Above all, the VersusGame CEO spoke how this interaction is supposed to be fun. Vitti gave us an outline on how the app would play. He explained the set-up and how the game would feel.

Of course the trilogy fight is just one of many that fans will be able to chose from. Also how players can monetize their knowledge of the sport. Oh, and as an added bonus fans also have the chance to play against UFC fighters. Legendary fighters such as Daniel Cormier and Luke Rockhold are also promoting the new venture.

For more information on how to set up an account and get started, go to www.versusgame.com or download the app at your app store. Check out the full interview with John Vitti below. Don’t forget to download the app before tomorrow’s trilogy fight at UFC 264. The main card kicks off at 10:00 PM EST.
