WLC announced the main event for their next card, WLC 13: Lethwei Showcase. The headliner of the card will be a light welterweight bout having WLC champion, Antonio Faria defend his belt against Fransisco Vinuelas. The card will take place on September 25th Phom Penh, Cambodia and will air on UFC Fight Pass in the United States.
Antonio Faria comes into WLC 13 as teh reigning champion. He holds the most knockouts in WLC history and captured his belt at WLC 7: Mighty Warriors. He knocked out Myanmar’s Saw Htoo Aung in the second round. The win crowned him the inaugrial light welterweight champion. Faria alos knocked out Nguyen Tang Quyen at WLC 6 and Mite Yine at WLC 5.
In the other corner, Fransisco Vinuelas is making his lethwei debut. Vinuelas is a veteran of the Chinese MMA and kickboxing scene. Vinuelas comes into WLC 13 with two decades of fighting experience with over 60 fights across MMA, kickboxing and Vale Tudo.
Zay Thiha, WLC chairman, is excited to bring yet another card to lethwei fans and thinks WLC 13 can be the best card yet.

WLC 13 Continues The Promotion’s Success
WLC made it’s return last week with WLC 12: Hideout Battle. The card crowned the first ever women’s bantamweight champion. In the fight, Souris Manfredi captured the belt in her third lethwei bout. With the next card, WLC looks to continue to build it’s brand internationally, marking it’s first card outside of Myanmar.
