Bevon Lewis picks up first win in more than five years
Georgia’s own Bevon Lewis secured a hard-earned victory at LFA 214, defeating Devin Clark in a closely contested bout last month. The judges scored the August 15 fight 29-28, 28-29, 29-28 in favor of Lewis.
For Lewis, the win is more than just another number on his record. It represents perseverance and dedication after years of navigating setbacks in his career.
Lewis’ pro MMA career began back in 2015 with six consecutive victories.
After going undefeated for almost three years, Lewis would get an opportunity to face Uriah Hall in the UFC. After dropping three out of four fights under the UFC banner, Lewis was released from the promotion.
From there he competed once for the Professional Fighters League, once for LFA, and once for Synergy FC, losing all three.
“Every fight is a chance to show growth,” Lewis said. “This win shows the work I’ve put in and the belief I still have in myself. I’m excited for what’s next.
The victory positions Lewis for his next steps in professional MMA as he continues training in Georgia and preparing for future opportunities.
