Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) returns to the Mile-High Fighting City of Denver, CO for their sixth event on Friday, April 17 at the National Western Center.
BKFC 88 is headlined by The Fighting Pride of Denver and Former BKFC Cruiserweight World Champion, Chris Camozzi, (4-2) facing arch-rival and knockout artist Esteban ‘Mohawk’ Rodriguez, (5-1, 5 KOs), of Grand Rapids, MI for the BKFC Interim Cruiserweight Title.

Chris Camozzi started his world title reign with a first-round knockout of Sawyer DePee on October 25, 2024, in Denver at BKFC-67. Following up at BKFC-73 on April 26, 2025, he defended his title by defeating Andrea Bicchi over the distance in Florence, Italy.
Most recently Camozzi dropped a hotly contested unanimous decision to Alessio Sakara at BKFC-83 on October 25, 2025 in Rome, Italy.
Fast rising Esteban ‘Mohawk’ Rodriguez is currently riding a three-fight winning streak, victorious in each fight by knockout; Zac Cavender (KO-1 at BKFC Fight Night Michigan), Julio Perez Rodriguez (KO-1 at BKFC-78) and Keegan Vandermeer (KO-2 at BKFC-56). He also holds knockout wins over Jaquis Williams (KO-1 at BKFC-43) and Erick Murray Jr (KO-2 at BKFC Fight Night Omaha).
Fighting in the lightweight division at BKFC-88, former BKFC World Champion Elvin ‘El Bandido’ Brito, (7-6), of Gulf Breeze, FL battles Ramiro Figueroa, (4-1), of Commerce City, CO. Brito returns to action following a fourth-round stoppage of Brandon Meyer at BKFC-79 on August 2, 2025. Figueroa has impressed recently with two big wins over Dalvin Blair (UD at BKFC-86) and Howard Davis
(KO-2 at BKFC-85). He is also 7-4-1 with three knockouts as a professional boxer.
Heavyweight veterans will clash at BKFC-88 with local favorite Josh ‘Cuddly Bear’ Copeland, (2-2), facing Corey ‘WhatYouTalkingBout’ Willis, (2-1), of Billings, MT. Copeland’s last appearance in the squared circle came against current BKFC Heavyweight World Champion Andrei Arlovski at BKFC-78, a fight halted in the fourth round due to cuts sustained by the Denver native. Willis looks to return to the win column following a heated contest with current top-rated heavyweight Leonardo Perdomo at BKFC-85.
Cruiserweight newcomers will face-off with Josh Fremd of Englewood, CO facing Jared Torgeson of Moses Lake, WA. Competing in the welterweight division, Andrew ‘The Golden Boy’ Yates, (3-1), of Las Vegas, NV battles Rodney ‘The Animal’ Hinton, (1-0), of Orlando, FL. Flyweight Angelo Trujillo, (0-1), of Grand Junction, CO battles Pensacola, FL native Anthony ‘The Devil’s Advocate’ Yost, (1-2).
Fighting in the men’s flyweight division Octavin ‘Smash’ Turner, (1-0), of Houston, TX battles BKFC debuting Davenport, IA native Joby ‘Jobywankenobi’ Steffensmeier.
Light heavyweight veteran Tyler ‘Redbird’ Sijohn, (0-3), of Worley, ID looks for his first victory over newcomer JoJo Chillizzi of Williamston, NC.
Lightweights will clash with Denver, CO native Matt Maestas, (0-3), battling Ruben Arroyo, (0-3), of Westminster, CO.
Also competing in the lightweight division, Sergio ‘The Savage’ Lopez, (1-1), of Montrose, CO faces Brett Hudson, (0-2).
