Aaron Pico set to return at Bellator 260 against Aiden Lee

Aaron Pico appears to have his next fight set.

According to a report from ESPN’s Marc Raimondi, the highly touted prospect will take on Aiden Lee in a featherweight bout at Bellator 260 on June 11 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.

The 24-year-old Pico has long garnered the attention of the mixed martial arts community thanks to his background as both a decorated amateur wrestler and a national Golden Gloves boxing champion. In fact, he signed with Bellator in 2014 despite not making his professional debut until 2017.

The California native is now 7-3 overall as a mixed martial artist. He shockingly lost his debut via submission to Zach Freeman, but he then rattled off four consecutive TKO victories, including a stoppage win over former title challenger Leandro Higo.

However, following the victory over Higo, Pico suffered back-to-back stoppage losses to Henry Corrales and Adam Borics. He has since rebounded, though, winning his last three fights over Daniel Carey, Chris Hatley, and John de Jesus. All three of those fights ended via finish.

England’s Lee, meanwhile, currently trains under UFC veteran Tom Breese and owns a 9-4 overall record. The 26-year-old former Cage Warriors title challenger made his Bellator debut in 2019 but suffered a decision defeat to Saul Rogers.

Since suffering that loss, he has also bounced back, scoring two straight stoppage victories over Damian Frankiewicz and Jeremy Petley.

Bellator 260 is currently set to be headlined by a welterweight title fight between champion Douglas Lima and undefeated top contender Yaroslav Amosov.
