Amanda Ribas predicts a first round finish over Virna Jandiroba at UFC 267
Amanda Ribas has been itching to get back inside the octagon for months now.
Following her first professional loss in January at UFC 257, Ribas was looking to bounce back into the win column over the summer when she was booked to face Angela Hill. Unfortunately, Ribas tested positive for COVID-19 just hours before the fight and the fight was canceled and never rebooked.
After missing out on a fight in the summer, Ribas is now booked to fight again against Virna Jandiroba at UFC 267 on Oct. 30 and she’s predicting fireworks.
Ribas can’t wait to fight again and she plans on getting after it from from the start of fight. Plus, she feels that Jandiroba will also look to start fast. Given how she is visualizing the start to the fight, Ribas thinks she gets a win inside of the opening five minutes.
If Ribas is right with her prediction, it will mark her second first-round win inside of the octagon. Her first came back at UFC 251 when she submitted Paige VanZant in the opening round of their fight.
Prior to the fight, Ribas talked with MyMMANews and previewed her fight in which she made her first-round victory prediction. Aside from talking about the UFC 267 fight with Jandiroba, she also discussed her training camp in Brazil, getting to fight on Fight Island for the third time and testing positive for coronavirus on two separate occasions.
