Avery Sanchis fighting for Hawaii against Jordan Grenyion-Smith
Avery Sanchis first blasted on the east coast regional MMA scene just a few months ago, losing a close decision to Art of War middleweight champion Andre Petroski. However, it didn’t take long for this Hawaiian native to get some notoriety. In the bout against Petroski, Sanchis agreed to this bout with 6 days to get ready. And anyone that was there will tell you the “it” factor this kid has by taking a fight on a few days notice and almost etching out the current champion was second to his constant taunting and talking to his opponent. Not a bad feat for being the new kid in town.
Now, the versatile Hawaiian has a bout ahead of him he fancies in Jordan Grenyion-Smith…With fighting in his roots, Sanchis says “we just scrap in Hawaii in and out of the cage”, and scrap he will against Grenyion-Smith May 18th at the 2300 Arena. The bout as Sanchis puts it will be a bit more favorable for him, as he details a full training camp behind him and an opponent with as much kickboxing experience that Sanchis has, this bout has fireworks written all over it.
Tune in below as Avery Sanchis takes off the gloves for this one on one segment with MyMMANews’ own, Adam Crist just days ahead of Art of War 7.
