Ring of Combat has been the staple for mixed martial arts action on the Jersey shoreline for well over a decade.  This Friday, December 1, fans in Atlantic City will flood the Tropicana Casino and Resort for ROC 82: Toretta vs Ruiz

The main event is a rematch from ROC 78 where both fighters put on a spectacular showing until the final bell.  In a razor thin decision, Ruiz took home the win and now, the two will throw down for the ROC title.

Also featured on the card, Flyweight knockout artist, Ben Coyle steps back into the cage following a highlight reel knockout that ultimately resulted in a disqualification in his last outing.  Leaning into the positives, Coyle is eager to put a controversial result in his last endeavor behind him.

“I have to keep the momentum building off of that, anyway. I went out there and did everything perfectly,” Coyle says. “I put my opponent to sleep in 14 seconds. Other than a bad call, there was no momentum lost there. I went out there, showed my level, showed my improvement, followed a gameplan to a tee,” he confidently expresses.

Coyle, who makes his promotional debut at Ring of Combat will face off against ROC veteran, Hector Iglesias, who is looking to keep his momentum rolling after coming off of a first round stoppage at ROC 81.

Fans have come used to Coyle’s aggressive, in-your-face style of fighting and Coyle promises they won’t be leaving disappointed.

“Same plan as always, man. I’m willing to go wherever he wants to take this fight but I’m in control of this fight. You’re in my cage at the end of the day,” Coyle insists. “I go in there. I’m aggressive. In your face, like you said but I’m looking for a stoppage,” he explains. “I’m better than him anywhere,” Coyle boldly professes.  Predicting, “I see myself putting him to sleep in the first round, maybe the second.  He fades sometimes after the first round so we’ll see, man but from what I see, I think I’ll put him to sleep on the feet,” he elaborates. “Second round!”
