ESPN Africa Boxing – Feb Card Confirmed

The ESPN Africa Boxing card for February 24 has been confirmed. This follows on from the success of the ESPN Africa Boxing 13 event. Once more, the main card will feature five bouts, whilst the undercard will have its own two. The first event of the year saw a total of six bouts, and the coming together of Khotso Rammopo and Hayden Jones behind the commentary desk, as well as Devon Currer as the ring announcer. Now, it seems ESPN is ready to do it again.

This card will feature Phila Mpontshane defending his SA Jnr Lightweight Title against Sibusiso Zingange. That title will be fought for over a possible 12 rounds, and that fight will serve as the main event. The co-main event will be a special African Boxing Union (ABU) fight in the women’s flyweight division. South Africa’s Simangele Hadebe will slug it out with Tanzania’s Halima Vanjabei over a potential ten rounds. The rest of the card will feature various talents from around South Africa, as well as fighters from Zimbabwe and Malawi too (amongst others).
