Kyle Daukaus coming off impressive performance on DWCS, going to continue to be his dangerous self

Kyle Daukaus had his opportunity in June to fight on Dana White’s The Contender Series against the 8-1 Michael Lombardo.  Daukaus, his team, and many fans and friends were shocked when he was not rewarded with a UFC contract after he mauled Lombardo both in the stand-up and on the ground.  One judge scored the fight 30-25 and another 30-26.  For some reason, Daukaus was snubbed.  He flew home and did not sulk.  He took a couple weeks off and then got right into another camp.

Daukaus, the long, lean, dangerous middleweight will take on another DWTCS veteran in Stephen Regman (9-4) at CFFC 78 on September 21st in Bensalem PA at Parks Casino.  This contest will bring the total record of Kyle’s opponents to 35-13.  In other words, he has fought a bunch of quality opponents and finished each one besides Lombardo who fought extremely defensive and was obviously fighting to survive rather than win.

When I asked Kyle what more he had to do to get that contract, he said…

“I have to be dominant in my next couple of fights and then it will come.  They won’t be able to deny me.”

Please check out our video interview above and hear from Kyle Daukaus himself about his mindset moving forward and how he sees this fight with Regman.  The Martinez BJJ Fight Team member has been around the sport for some time now and is a Bang Muay-Thai certified instructor and with 7 submissions in 8 fights, his ground game is legitimately a threat at all times.

CFFC 78 will be streamed live on UFC Fight Pass.
