Marlon Moraes seeking to “Shock the World” against Shane Burgos
Marlon Moraes sits down with Lenny this week to talk about his upcoming bout at PFL Championships 2022 on Nov. 25th vs. Shane Burgos.
Moraes (23-10-1), announced his short-lived retirement after his loss to Yadong Song in March earlier this year.
It wasn’t long until the talented Brazilian was tempted to come out of retirement and ultimately snapped up by one of the fastest growing MMA companies right now in the Professional Fighters League (PFL).
Lenny had the chance to talk about his fight vs. Burgos, first and foremost I would like to thank Marlon and the PFL for making this happen.
Marlon Moares gives his thoughts on the Burgos match-up:
“When I saw he (Burgos) signed, I knew we were going to fight, why not now. Why wait for next year, let’s do it now and let’s fight.
He is a great fighter; he is very skillful and a well-rounded fighter but so am I. I am very excited; he is an excellent fighter. This is why I am in the sport fighting with the best, he is one of the best in the PFL, everyone is talking about him. So, let’s fight.
I have a lot of respect for Shane, but I have fought with the highest of highest levels in MMA. I have fought with all the top 5 UFC guys. I have fought with all the best and I know my skill set and know I can beat anyone in the world.”
Moraes explained that he will be ready for whatever Burgos brings on November 25th:
“I have to be ready for both situations, we are working in all areas. We are going in there to shock the world and put on a performance.
Lenny followed up this answer with: ‘How exactly will you shock the world, Marlon?”
“We will see.”
What keys to victory does Marlon see against Burgos?
“My speed. My speed will be my biggest advantage and I can’t wait to use my speed against Burgos in the cage.”
