Oscar Garcia

Oscar Garcia makes his professional MMA debut at AOW 21

Art of War Cage Fighting is hosting the promotion’s 21st event on December 4th, but it is a landmark for the promotion as it is their first show at Rivers Casino, as well as their first live stream with a pay-per-view option.  Rivers Casino in South Philadelphia will host the fight card and welcome AOW President Mike Bickings and his team to a great location with lots of fun things to do both pre and post-fight.

Tickets for the AOW 21 event are completely sold out and the opening bell is scheduled for 7 pm.   You can order the event right here.

Reigning AOW Heavyweight Amateur champion Patrick Brady will make his professional debut and Cody “the Punisher” Russell will hold down the main event in his second pro fight.

Also on the fight-card is 21-year-old Oscar Garcia, who is making his professional debut after fighting nine times as an amateur and going 6-3.  MyMMANews spoke with Garcia to see how he felt about making the big step up as a professional and how he felt about his opponent, Anthony Dill.  He says…

“This opportunity presented itself and my team and I felt it was the right time, right decision and right opponent.  I have watched Dills fights and there are definitely flashes of talent, but it has been 6 years for him so you cannot rely on just the film.  I’m ready for wherever the fight may go and I’m not sure he can go the full 15 minutes with me.  That’s all I’ll say.”

Check out our chat on the link above.  Garcia is very impressive for such a young man jumping into a grown man’s sport.  Oscar is honest and talks about being bullied when he was younger, leading him into his path in mixed martial arts.

MyMMANews will be all over the AOW 21 card with more pre-fight media, live results, and post-fight interviews.  We cover regional MMA like no other.

From the lowest level, to the highest, he only cares about the two warriors who do battle once the cage doors close. Everything else is secondary. Without their blood, sweat, and tears, he would not be here enjoying every minute.
