Zachary Reese discusses earning a UFC contract on Dana White’s Contender Series

Zachary Reese is known for finishing fights and on Dana White’s Contender Series he did just that.

Coming into his fight with Eli Aronov, Reese’s longest fight was four minutes and 13 seconds. In all of his other fights, they would end in under 90 seconds.

On Dana White’s Contender Series, it was another less than 90 second performance.

Aronov was strong and built like a tank and Reese absolutely felt his power as he ended up on the canvas a few times, but Reese never minds being on his back and that’s where he shined in this fight.

Reese was able to grab ahold of Aronov’s arm and lock in an armbar submission in which Aronov would immediately tap to in just 74 seconds.

The fight was the featured bout of the evening for the shows third episode of the current season and Reese absolutely made a great impression on his new boss as UFC president Dana White gave Reese a contract following his victory.

The win was a moment Reese will never forget and he enjoyed celebrating with his family afterwards.

Reese is a family man and he loves being a father and it was his family life that really hit home with the audience that tuned in to watch the fight.

Prior to the fight, the UFC put together a video package of the fighters and Reese mentioned the impact his late brother had on him as his brother always wanted to see him make the UFC.

Well right now, Reese’s brother is smiling down as Reese honored him as he accepted his UFC contract.

Following the victory, Reese spoke with MyMMANews to discuss his performance, his love for his family and his plans for making his UFC debut.
