Francis Ngannou, Jake Paul

Francis Ngannou on Jake Paul fight: “I’m just not interested”

Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou will not be entertaining an offer to fight Jake Paul in a boxing match later this month.

The 39-year-old Ngannou said Jake Paul’s team did indeed reach out after news of Gervonta Davis latest legal trouble has forced Most Valuable Promotions to consider pulling the plug on the November 14th scrap.

“I’m like, ‘no bro, come on,'” Ngannou told TMZ. “I mean, don’t disrespect me like that.”

Francis Ngannou says MVP asked if he would reconsider his position if the payday was right, but the Predator insists it’s not about money.

“If it was about the number, I would have tell you,” Ngannou said. “I’m just not interested; it makes no sense for me. It’s not what I’m looking at right now.”

“The fight makes no sense. That’s what I think, that’s my position.”

Davis faces accusations of attacking a woman in a strip club, according to a civil lawsuit.

The complainant alleges that the attack took place Monday, Oct. 27 at Tootsie’s Cabaret, a strip club in Miami Gardens where she is a VIP cocktail waitress.

Following news of the incident, Ngannou, as well as Nate Diaz, Ryan Garcia, and Terence Crawford were rumored as potential replacements.
