Former NFL standout Frank Gore faceplants opponent in pro boxing debut

Former NFL running back, Frank Gore, made his professional boxing debut last night at the Gamebred Boxing event in Biloxi, Mississippi.

It took the 39-year-old just four rounds to put his opponent, Yaya Olorunsola, face down on the canvas.

Gore announced earlier this year that he would be retiring from Football and was going to place his focus on the sport of boxing. As a veteran of the sport, Gore spent 16 seasons with the NFL and played for multiple teams including the 49ers, Jets, Colts, Dolphins, and the Bills. During that time he rushed nearly 16,000 yards, making him the third all-time rushing leader.

The NFL star had previously lost a split decision in an exhibition match against Deron Williams back in December of last year. Following his first bout as a professional last night, he now holds a 1-0 record.

With gore stepping away from the NFL and focusing on the sport of boxing, is there anyone you would like to see him face next?
