Jordan Griffin, No. 1 ranked pro featherweight in midwest, has next fight booked
Native American, Mexican, and African American fighter, Jordan Griffin, has quite a story to tell, though the Milwaukee, Wisconsin native would rather show you than tell you what he is made of inside the cage. It’s quite a spectacular show at that.
Starting out his professional mixed martial arts career with a record of 1-3 Griffin was an unlikely candidate to be the top tier level athlete he is today, but a shaky start couldn’t deter him. After a camp change, Griffin has turned things around, going 14-2 within the last five years. Even more impressively, 11 of those fights have ended in finishes. Griffin credits his success to his solid teammates and world class coaching staff at Roufusport MMA.
The Native Psycho has won multiple belts in several MMA promotions, the most notable one of these being King of the Cage. He smashed any doubts of it being a fluke by winning the 145-pound belt. He went on to defend the title an additional three times. KOTC is one of the oldest organizations in the sport of mixed martial arts. This highly respected promotion is responsible for feeding the UFC some of its top talent. Griffin aims to join that elite list so he can showcase his skills on the world stage.
Recently Griffin has made his LFA debut, another top-notch feeder organization. He already has his sights set on racking up more belts. Charisma, solid work ethic, and strong ticket sales keeps Griffin headlining these respected organizations. It’s only a matter of time before even larger organizations take notice.
My motto: “Failure is necessary for growth. Accept failure so you can learn, learn so you can grow, and remember you can succeed at anything in life as long as your heart is guiding you.”
Family oriented Griffin shares a quote from his beloved Grandmother, Winterfred Rosalez. She would tell me “Where ever you go let people know you’re Native.” He aims to just that that by excelling at everything he does.
While some people might wilt under intense scrutiny Griffin takes a more positive approach. “I love being criticized. It gives me something to work on.” Jordan “Native Psycho” Griffin
Griffin’s next bout is June 1 against Shawn West (15-9). Tune into AXS TV fight or see it in person at Mystic Lake Casino. Contact Jordan Griffin for tickets.
