Miami Heat mascot taken to emergency room after punches from Conor McGregor
Former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion Conor McGregor was courtside for Game 4 of the NBA Finals between the Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat on Friday night.
During what was obviously as scripted halftime event, Miami Heat mascot Burnie was hit with a pair of punches during a skit in which McGregor was promoting his line of cooling pain relief spray.
According to reports, the man behind the Burnie costume was taken to a nearby emergency room for treatment, given some pain medicine, and released.

The NBA might want to rethink these skits in the future.
McGregor is supposed to fight Michael Chandler in the octagon later this year, but an official date for the bout hasn’t been set yet. The two men can currently be seen coaching on The Ultimate Fighter Season 31 which airs Tuesday nights on ESPN+.
