Michel Ersoy faces biggest fight of career at Superior Challenge 16
Stockholm born Michel Ersoy faces the biggest fight of his career so far. He is booked for a title bout on December 2 against the UFC and Bellator veteran, and Superior Challenge’s featherweight champion, Diego Nunes.
Diego has moved up to Lightweight (-70.3 kg) now days but drops down to Featherweight (-65.8 kg) for the first title defense at Superior Challenge 16. The Brazilian became the champion by stopping the MMA legend Joachim “Hellboy” Hansen in the second round at Superior Challenge 11, nevertheless he broke his knee in the first round. Since his pro MMA debut in 2004, the 35-year-old has fought a total of 27 fights, of which 20 wins in organizations such as Shooto, WEC, Bellator and UFC.
He is the most prominent opponent Michel has ever fought, but at the same time it is also the biggest opportunity of the Swede’s career so far. That is why the Stockholm kid is incredibly motivated for this fight, and in hard training with Jay Elder, the coach who has stood by him throughout his entire career. The 27-year-old has only one loss in his last seven bouts, and he is famous for his quick hands and intense fighting style.
