Miranda Maverick vs Gillian Robertson set for UFC 258

Miranda Maverick vs Gillian Robertson further bolsters the UFC 258 card. The flyweight fight is scheduled to go down on February 13th.

Several sources confirmed the news with MMA Fighting following Maverick posting news of the bout via her personal Instagram.

The top of the marquee attraction for UFC 258 will showcase Kamaru Usman defending his UFC welterweight championship against Gilbert Burns.

Robertson made her name on The Ultimate Fighter 26 and has parlayed that into an action-packed octagon run. This next outing will mark her tenth foray into the UFC cage.

Maverick is perhaps most known for winning Invicta FC’s second Phoenix Series. This is a one-night tournament that saw her best three mixed martial artists.

Maverick is basically on a six-fight win streak but it’s officially four as two of the Invicta FC Phoenix Series bouts were categorically exhibitions.

Gillian Robertson has an 83 percent finishing rate across her UFC wins with submissions and striking based victories.

The Canadian combatant looks to return to the win column after having a two-fight win streak snapped by Taila Santos. Robertson would lose that contest in a unanimous decision last December.

Robertson has a 9-5 MMA record and has earned notable victories over Cortney Casey as well as Molly McCann.

Miranda Maverick is entering the cage for her sophomore outing in the UFC. Her last bout saw her make a successful Octagon debut against Liana Jojua. Maverick won via first-round doctor stoppage at UFC 254 in October.

The Invicta FC vet moved to 8-2 overall as a pro and she has earned notable wins over Pearl Gonzalez as well as DeAnna Bennett.

Neither of these martial artists are presently situated in the top 15 but the winner could very well secure a ranked opponent in the future.

Who do you think emerges victorious when Miranda Maverick vs Gillian Robertson goes down?
