Ronda Rousey talks about nearly losing her finger in accident – VIDEO
Last month, former UFC bantamweight champion turned pro wrestling superstar Ronda Rousey sustained a horrible injury that nearly cost her a finger.
Let Ronda tell you the tale of nearly losing a finger on the set of 9-1-1 to a boat door that seemingly had a vendetta against her. Watch the video above.
“I’m have a feeling that every single time me and Trav (husband Travis Browne) plan a vacation, I end up in another cast,” Rousey said.
Rousey was on set filming a TV show call “9-1-1” when she got her fingers jammed by a boat door. Her middle finger sustained the worst damage. It was broken and the tendon nearly severed. She also fractured the tip of her ring finger.
“The boat door slammed down, and I thought I just jammed my nail you know?” Rousey said in the video. “I was thinking ‘ouch, f*ck, don’t be a p*ssy,” she said.
She then told the director that her finger was no longer attached to her finger.
She was taken by ambulance to a San Diego hospital for treatment where that middle finger was repaired with a bolt and screws.
The incident happened in Mexico, but she returned to work the very next day.
