‘Senor Perfecto’ grinded his way into the upper tier of regional mixed martial artists and now he’s trying to stay there, perhaps get the call to the next level. At 9-3, two of his losses are to current UFC contenders, Jared Gordon, and Shane Burgos.  None of his other fights have come against easy opponents either, as he has always looked for the challenge and wanted to fight the best.

At ROC 61, Algeo was at his best winning the title with a second round stoppage of Dante Rivera protege, Tim “The Jaguar” Dooling (7-3).  His calmness and fight IQ along with his talent, were on full display as he was in control from the opening bell.

Algeo now takes on his next challenger in MMA Institute fighter, Tevin Cooke (5-1) who hails from Virginia.  ‘Senor Perfecto’ brings the heart and soul from his hometown of Philadelphia as well as the experience of preparing with icons like Ricardo Migliarese and Will Martinez, whom will both be in his corner on March 2nd.

Louis Neglia has brought well over 120 mixed martial artists into his cage at the Tropicana Showroom, that have gone on to sign with the UFC.

Algeo could be the next one, especially with UFC Fight Night scheduled for April 21st in Boardwalk Hall, just blocks from where Algeo will do battle vs Cooke.

Bill knows the business.  He knows that it’s one fight at a time, or you can get yourself swallowed up very quickly.  Check out our interview below as ‘Senor Perfecto’ keeps us up to date on what he has going on, and his thoughts on defending the 145lb belt.
