Taylor Pierce didn’t have to take a match. He certainly wasn’t scheduled to compete at Stellar Fights 42, but like wise men often do…rise to the occasion when it calls. Pierce did just that! And it was done with a simple reply stating “I’ll grapple that guy.” As a late replacement for Sean Ashley who was originally scheduled for an MMA bout on June 6th at Stellar, Pierce stepped up to face Ashley in a no-gi grappling superfight.
Both competitors being high caliber purple belts are set to make their mark on the main portion of the Stellar Fights 42 card which Pierce says “wont slow the tempo down” and stating, “I think me and him will both go for the kill”
Seeing Ashley compete several times and grapple with friends of his in the past gives Pierce some insight to Ashley’s grappling all around game. Pierce also sees he and his opponent as a competitive matchup and “experience” that he’s very eager for during his transition time into his professional MMA career.
It all goes down June 8th in Harrington Delaware at Stellar Fights 42. Tune in above as Taylor “Surtees” Pierce and I have a one on one exclusive Stellar Fights 42 pre fight interview!
