Jared Gooden (23-9) discusses his welterweight fight against Kevin Jousset (10-2) at UFC St. Louis on May 11. Jared also spoke about his submission win over Wellington Turman, having plenty of notice for this fight and where a win over Jousset puts him in his career.
“I’m just trying to show the UFC that I’m a main eventer. My main goal is to go out there and get the knockout, have two finishes back-to-back. I’ve already been co-main event in my first stint in the UFC and it didn’t go my way. But I’m here back as a better fighter, I’m a main eventer and I’m coming for the belt.”
