VIDEO: Cain Velasquez working with Alex Pereira ahead of UFC 335
Former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez shared a video of himself working out at the UFC Performance Institute with former two-division UFC champion Alex Pereira.
In the clip, Velasquez can be seen instructing “Poatan” on how to break out of back control while standing. Pereira will face Sergei Pavlovich in a heavyweight bout at UFC 335 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Dec. 12.

Velasquez, who is highly regarded as one of the best heavyweight champions of all-time, was released from prison in February following a 10-month sentence after a February 2022 arrest for pursuing and shooting at a truck carrying Harry Goularte, a man accused of molesting Velasquez’s then-4-year-old son.
