“It takes a lot of work,” said Penn. “It takes too much. Too much (expletive) work. At this age, it just takes too much (expletive) work. You never know what’s going to happen, but it takes so much work.”

The work load is only part of Penn’s decision. He’s also listening to other people’s opinion’s and he’s getting a mixed reviews.

“There’s so much people telling me to fight again. Other people telling me don’t fight again. It’s a lot to take in.”

Penn (16-14) is currently on a seven fighting losing streak, which is a UFC record. His last win came in 2010. Before his struggles, Penn was a UFC star and became the first person in UFC history to win titles in two weight classes.
