DJ Ashba To Perform At ‘Fighters Only World Mixed Martial Arts Awards’

Former Guns N’ Roses and current SIXX:A.M. guitarist DJ Ashba will open the 13th annual Fighters Only World Mixed Martial Arts Awards in Las Vegas this Friday, December 10 with a performance of his new single “Bella Ciao”, a modern-day EDM-driven makeover of the Italian folk classic fueled by his signature guitar work, creating a dance/rock hybrid called GDM (Guitar Dance Music). The inspired reimagining, complete with big bass, bone-crushing guitar and an infectious beat will set the stage for the awards which will air live on ESPN+ at 7:30 p.m. PST/10:30 p.m. EST and be broadcast at nationally on CBS Sports on Tuesday, December 21 at 9 p.m.
“I’ve been a huge fan of MMA for years and am very honored to be performing and presenting an award at the World MMA Awards,” says Ashba. “Playing the guitar is much like MMA. It’s all about the dance. How and when you hit is what creates the appeal and excitement for the audience.”
The Fighters Only World Mixed Martial Arts Awards is the industry event for the sport of MMA and celebrates the achievements and performances of the people who make the sport what it is during a twelve-month period between July 2020 and July 2021.
Celebrities, industry executives, personalities, and a who’s who of fighters will take to the red carpet once again for this exclusive VIP invite only event to celebrate the achievements from the best of our industry.
