JJ Veramendi staying busy and earns title shot at West Chester Fight Night 5

Interview with JJ Veramendi above

I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Kruyod Hamzah Maisonet on numerous regional kickboxing and Muay Thai events.  He is a gentleman that has a presence about him.  Kru has a very lengthy and successful resume in competition and has gone on to create and build Maisonet Muay Thai boxing into a thriving academy with a strong family atmosphere that is respected across the area.  The passion for the sport and life in general ooze from his pores.

It is no wonder that JJ Veramendi is smiling these days as his extended family has gotten bigger and better in recent months as he continues training and taking fights representing Maisonet and growing his skills in striking and learning his chosen craft.  The 23 year old has stayed very busy.  It seems like he goes through fight camp, has his bout and then is right back in camp.  MyMMANews caught up with the bright prospect to catch up and talk about his next fight.  Veramendi tells us..

“I will be fighting for the 200 lb championship on Friday July 2nd at Westchester Fight Night 5 which is a Los Muay Thai promotion and my last fight was there for them.  This is the best I have felt and my camp has been amazing.  My team has pushed me to continuing to grow and I am so grateful for ever one of them.  I plan on leaving with that belt.”

You can see our full interview on the link above.  Veramendi makes no bones about his attack mode and thirst for success.  He is really enjoying his life style right now and loves to trains and has also worked very hard on his strength and conditioning.  JJ looks like he has a very bright future and is getting closer and closer to his professional debut.
