Stephen Regman

Stephen Regman previews his middleweight title bout at Maverick 19

Stephen Regman is back and ready to go on a run.

The last time the MMA scene saw Regman was in 2019 when he fought current UFC middleweight Kyle Daukaus at CFFC 78.

Now after two and a half years away from the cage, Regman started getting the itch to fight again. While he always remained in the gym and playing competitive sports, it was that itch that led to his decision to return.

When Regman steps inside the cage this weekend at Maverick MMA 19, he will being fighting for a major prize as the Maverick middleweight title will be on the line.

Standing in Regman’s way will be former UFC fighter Oluwale Bamgbose, who like Regman hasn’t fought in a while as his last fight came at against Alessio Di Chirico at UFC on Fox 26.

Prior to the fight, Regman talked with MyMMANews about the matchup, his time away from the cage, how he’s been preparing for the fight and being a training partner with Mickey Gall.

You can watch his full interview in the video above.

Maverick MMA 19 will be held on Saturday night at Split Rock Resort in Lake Harmony, Pennsylvania. For tickets you can visit maverickmma.com and for more information you can visit the promotions Facebook page.
